Tena Van Der Muil, nee DeVries, age 96, beloved wife for 50 years to the late Richard Van Der Muil, Sr. (1997). Loving mother of Donna (Marvin) Aardema and Richard Jr. (Janet). Cherished grandmother of Heather Aardema and Katelyn Aardema; Kristena (Spencer) Fetherling, Keri Van Der Muil and Richard "R.J." Van Der Muil. Dearest great-grandmother of Nolan, Dylan, Avery, Gage and Cash. Preceded in death by her eight siblings: Jenny Lenters, Louis DeVries, Winifred DeVries, Gertrude Tibstra, Geraldine Woodridge, Clara Spoelma, Theresa TerMaat and Jo Leo.
Tena loved to attend church. She enjoyed singing with her sisters and playing the organ. She loved to knit and liked to play Find-a-Word and watching Wheel of Fortune.
Visitation Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 4:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Entombment private at Chapel Hill Gardens South, Oak Lawn, IL.
