Obituary for Susan J. Wilson (Lowther)
Susan Jane Lowther Wilson, age 69, beloved wife for 50 years to Donald L. Wilson. Loving mother of Matthew (Majtra) Wilson. Cherished grandmother of Maci and Brandon. Devoted daughter of the late Birk and Eleanore Lowther. Dear sister of James Lowther, Kathy (Jim) Smola, Becky (Larry) Clark, Steve (Mary) Lowther, Bill (Jody) Lowther and Jeanne (Guy) Fox. Dearest sister-in-law of Karen (late James) Keiper. Kind aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Susan was in the truest sense of the word, a “Servant Leader”. She would never ask you to
do something she would not do herself. She spent her entire adult life in service to others. No
one had a bigger heart for helping others than Susan.
Susan had several successful secular jobs in Minneapolis and broke glass ceilings for women
in business during the 1970’s and 80’s. Her focus changed in 1992 when she began doing
GODS will of helping others. She did volunteer work in New Jersey, and ran a home for battered
women in Des Moines, Iowa. In 2001, the Family moved to Tinley Park Illinois where she found
her true calling in the church and at PASS in 2006.
She held every job at PASS at one time or another. Most recently as the Operations Director for
three centers and the soon to be competed addition of a new Aurora Office making 4 total
locations. Saving the babies was her mission in life, it is GODS work.
Her home was always open to strangers on all the holidays, there was always enough room for
more.
She lived to serve and was very good at it. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Lying in State Monday, January 16, 2023 at Orland Park Christian Reformed Church, 7500 W.
