Obituary for Salvatore A. "Sal" Amendola

Salvatore "Sal" Amendola, age 94, US Army Korean War Veteran, passed away peacefully in his home on June 30, 2022. At his bedside was his beloved wife Arlene and loving son Robert (Beth) Amendola. Dear stepfather to Brenda (Geno) Olson, Mary (Otto) Tor, Julie (Larry) Banasiak, and the late Cynthia Barr. Proud grandfather to Brayden, Zackary, and Nickolas Amendola. Loving step grandfather to Nicholas, Richard, Alexander, David, Allison, and Austin. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Lifelong friend to Edward Lukas. Lovingly cared for by his devoted wife Arlene and caretaker Lori Myers.

Retired from Nabisco, avid golfer, and painter. Sal was loved by many and will be missed.

Family will receive relatives and friends Friday, July 15, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment with Military Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
