Obituary for Robert P. "Bob" Holtz

Robert P. "Bob" Holtz, age 89, US Army Korean War Veteran, passed away on June 4, 2021, on the second anniversary of the death of his wife, Barbara Jean Holtz, née Ward. He worked at People's Gas in the Engineering Department, where he met his wife Barbara on a company golf outing. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Tinley Park and an amazing, kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his children, Bonnie Atkinson and her husband John; John Holtz and his wife Sherri; and Sandra Wallace and her husband Michael, and preceded in death by his twin sons, Richard and Robert. Also survived by his grandchildren Emily, Caitlin, Hope, and Patrick Atkinson; Ryan Wallace and his wife Angela; Morgan Bennau, Rickey Delette and his wife LaToya, and their children Jayden and Carter Delette, his brother Raymond and his wife Bernie, nephew Brian Holtz, niece Renee Molck and other nieces and nephews.

Visitation Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Trinity Lutheran Church 6850 W. 159th St. Tinley Park, IL from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial with Military Honors at Fairmont-Willow Hills Cemetery, Willow Springs, IL.
