Richard J. Braun, PhD, age 73, loving brother of Annette (Jeremy) Mathers and Ronald Braun. Cherished uncle of Lindsay, Lauren, and Cathryn Mathers. Devoted son of the late Sophie Rose Braun (nee Zdboylak) and the late John D. Braun.

Richard graduated with a PhD in biology from IIT. He did his undergraduate studies and post doctorate work at UIC. He worked as a risk assessment professional specializing in hazardous waste and toxicology for consulting companies and the Army Corps of Engineers in Maryland where he retired. He was an active member in the Society of Toxicology. Richard enjoyed outside activities of hiking, camping, and cross-country skiing.

Visitation Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 12:00 Noon at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL.
