A LIGHT, JOY & LOVE HAS GONE HOME
Paul Frederick “Rick” Schwartz, Jr. passed peacefully to his heavenly home on Monday March 22, 2021. Rick was son to Paul & Loraine Schwartz, brother to Gail Muffitt, Laurie Pertchi (Matt) and Lynn Merryl (Irv Mandelberg). He also had many, many nieces, nephews, cousins, God-children, loving friends and caregivers.
Rick was a gift. He was eternally loving and abundantly loved in return. Those who remember him will carry on his warmth, the generosity of his hugs, laughter, presence and most importantly his smile. Rick was an avid water skier, bowler, and in his younger days – Special Olympics medalist. He lived life to the fullest and never allowed obstacles, that might have stopped any one of us mere mortals, to stand in his way. We are grateful to God for having Rick in our lives and FOREVER in our hearts.
Lying in State at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7800 McCarthy Rd., Palos Heights, IL on Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. To uphold safety guidelines, all guests are asked to wear a mask and respect social distancing requirements.
