Obituary for Paul A. Lill
Paul A. Lill, age 90, U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. Beloved husband of the late Charlene, nee Naser (2001). Loving father of Leslie Anne (David) Peterson, Stephen (Laurie) Lill and Pamela (Rev. Timothy) Johnson. Cherished grandfather of Joshua (Traci), Matthew, Christopher (Bethany) and Sarah Peterson; Jonathon, Jeffrey and Danielle Lill; Taylor (Colleen), Merritt and Olivia Johnson. Dearest great-grandfather of Granger and Wesley Peterson.
Paul married his high school sweetheart, Charlene, and they were married for 43 years before her passing. A Purdue graduate, he worked for Illinois Bell Telephone until his retirement. Paul had a love of woodworking and home repair and began Handy Hands in retirement. During the late '70's and into the '80's, Paul served as a school board member for Community Consolidated School District 146 in Tinley Park. He was a member of the American Heritage Sertoma Club and the Korean War Veterans Southwest Suburban Chapter. On September 7, 2016, he took part in Honor Flight Chicago.
Interment private with Military Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
