Obituary for Lorraine Aileen Tudor (Lawson)

Lorraine Aileen (Lawson) Tudor, 88, of Mokena (recently of Forreston, IL & previously of Glen Ellyn, IL) was called home to be with her Lord and Savior at 6:20 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2022 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox, IL.

Lorraine was born April 5, 1933 in Chicago to Edwin and Florence Lawson. Lorraine was one of four siblings; two brothers, Edwin John Lawson (deceased) & Raymond Paul Lawson (deceased), and one sister Patricia Ruth Enhelder. She graduated from Immaculate High School in 1951. Following high school, Lorraine received further training as a skilled Comptometer Operator. She married Robert J. Tudor, now deceased, in 1954. They were the proud and loving parents of Robert Jude (Linda) Tudor II, John Edwin (Dennis Artman) Tudor, Catherine Aileen (Thomas) O’Keefe, Edward Arthur Tudor, and James Charles (Rebecca) Tudor. She was a devoted grandmother to Jason Bryce (deceased) and Michelle Marie (deceased) Tudor, Thomas James O’Keefe, Kaitlyn Aileen (Johnnie) Bianchin, Jackson Francis and Carter William Rowland, Victoria Elizabeth (Jason) Williams, Christina Alaine, and Emily Jean Tudor. Also surviving is one great-grandchild, Emma Aileen Bianchin.

Lorraine was primarily a homemaker but she did hold various part-time positions including administrative support with Root Photographers. She was also very active with various charitable organizations including Kiwanis International, in which she held the position of Lt. Governor, Division 13. She also served on the Board of Education for Aquin Schools in Freeport, IL. Lorraine and her husband were long time members of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Glendale Heights and then more recently very active parishioners of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Shannon, IL.

A Memorial Service celebrating Lorraine’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Shannon, IL. Father Mike Bolger will officiate. Interment will take place at St. Wendelin’s Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Make a Wish Foundation, The A-T Foundation, American Heart Association or St. Wendelin Catholic Church.
