Kenneth A. Bender, age 80, beloved husband of Jackie Bender, nee VanPernis. Loving father of Michelle (Bill) Wolf, Tammy (fiancé Don Lewis) Harris, Pamela (Greg) Baker and Andrea (Chris) Beaty. Dear step-father of Beth (John) Wilczewski, Craig (Nicky) Beaty and Chris (Andrea) Beaty. Cherished grandfather of Caitlin, Allison, Abby; Hannah, Jesse; Anthony, Briana; Ainslee, Graham; Hannah, Leah, Rebekah, Haddy, Sarah; Madison, Brayden and Emerson. Dearest great-grandfather of Tustin.
Retired band director after 38 years of dedicated service. Ken was a storyteller, dessert connoisseur and avid fisherman.
Family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL from 3-7 p.m. with a Service to Celebrate Ken's life to follow at 7:00 p.m.
