We had the privilege of being next-door neighbors to Dave and Joyce and their family of active kids for about 20 years. Dave was always up to something--killing chickens, making head cheese--and Joyce always was the smiling, stable center of all the goings-on. She was a wonderful woman, and we send our sympathy to Bruce, Denise, Mary, David, and Kevin and their families.

One of the ways Joyce lived out her faith in Christ--and there were many--was her compassionate and loving attention given to Dorothy and Wendy Yonker. Her visits always lifted their spirits, in part because she loved mischief and good stories. The regular gatherings for cards became legendary, and her devotion to bringing Dad to church after Dorothy died was deeply appreciated. Our sympathies to all in the passing of this great lady! Aunt Joyce was a beautiful, kind, and fun-loving lady. Memories of her at the cottage, a family camping trip to Canada, staying at her home, and seeing her at Persenaire gatherings encourage my heart to be more joyful, playful, interested in others, and more generous with my smiles. So thankful to have been blessed with our Aunt Joyce!
My family is keeping you in our prayers: Bruce, Denise, David, MaryJo, and Kevin and the rest of your family and friends. Looking forward to watching and giving thanks tomorrow at the live-streamed service. Love from Annie and the Smiths!
