John Sidney Wiersema, age 84, passed away December 22, 2020. He was the beloved husband for 64 years to Juanita, nee Buehler. Loving father of Gail (Dave) Meekma, Michael (Lisa) Wiersema and Kelly (Steve) Richman. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Dan) Yerks, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Meekma, Joshua (Melissa) Meekma, Matthew Wiersema, John Mark Wiersema, Michael Wiersema, Noelle Wiersema, Joseph Wiersema, Destiny Wiersema, Kacey Richman, Cameron Richman, Trey Richman and Heidi Richman. Dearest great-grandfather of Hunter, Riley, Peyton, Andrew, Emily and Charlee. Dear brother of Dorothy (the late Jay) Buikema, Glen (Nancy) Wiersema, the late Ken (Pam) Wiersema and the late Ron (Nancy) Wiersema. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Devoted son of the late Sidney and Wilma (nee Cooper) Wiersema.

John was a truck driver for Waste Management for 27 years.

Visitation Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Anchor Church Palos, 6600 W. 127th St., Palos Heights, IL from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 12:30 p.m. A live-stream of the service will be available.
