Obituary for Jean T. Bond (Karas)
Jean T. Bond, nee Karas, age 91, of Oak Lawn, IL, beloved wife for 75 years to the late Donald (2019). Loving mother of Donna (Cory) Tebbens, Linda (late Hank) DuBois, Mike (Sue) Bond, Trish (Phil) Nelson and the late Kris Bond. Cherished grandmother of Tammy, Don, Russ, Rob, Janine, Bill, Bob, Brittany, Glenn, Daniel, and Nicole. Dear great-grandmother of Michelle, Jessica, Jared, the late Cory Ann, Courtney, Sydney, Annie, Aubrey, Andrew, Rachel, Gabriel, Alec, Brielle, Bethany, Makayla and Julianna Jean. Dearest great-great-grandmother of Georgia and Atlas. Fond sister of Rosemarie Ossowski and the late Ed Karas.
Jean always exhibited class and compassion throughout her life. She was an avid fan of golf, bowling, and playing cards. She loved being outside in nature and seeing beautiful flowers and animals, especially birds. She enjoyed spending time at PawPaw Lake and was involved in the Yacht Club and PPL Association there. She loved swimming in the lake and spending time in her swan paddleboat. She truly loved life and the adventure it could bring, finding herself traveling to a wide array of places. Jean was a religious woman, having been involved in the church choir and a variety of church shows and activities throughout her life. She remained dedicated to her heavenly Father until the very end of her life. Jean was a woman who loved and cherished her family and friends, and this was a theme throughout her entire life.
A private family Funeral Mass will be held.
