Obituary for Gerald L. "Jerry" Massey
Gerald L."Jerry" Massey, age 88, US Marine Corps Korean War Veteran, passed away peacefully at his home on February 21, 2021. Beloved husband for 64 years to Carol, nee Olson. Loving father of Linda (Donald) Lundquist, Donald (Dana) Massey, and Diana (Tim) Johnson. Cherished grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of one. Dear brother of Dale (late Myrna) Massey and the late baby Earl. Dearest uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Retired mechanic and inspector at United Airlines with over 40 years of service. Jerry became a private pilot in his later years.
Visitation Sunday, February 28, 2021, 2-6 PM. Funeral Service Monday, March 1, 2021 at 11 AM at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. To uphold safety guidelines, all guests are asked to wear a mask and respect social distancing requirements. Interment with Military Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
