My condolences to the entire Van Dahm family. As much as you will miss George, it is a blessing to know that he is now well and whole again in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. The thing I remember most about George is his sense or humor and his grin after someone responded to one of his jokes. He was a kind, wonderful Christian man whom I was blessed to know for over 25 years. I will miss that warm grin and his loving presence. May God hold you all, and especially my dear friend Mary, in the palm of His hand during your time of grief.

With sympathy and love to all,
Lynn TenKate

Mary: I am so sorry to hear of George’s passing. I know first hand what it is like to watch someone you love, respected and looked up to succumbed to the ravages of Parkinson’s. The last two years of Dad’s life, all Dad could do was scream. He had no controls of his body. Mom took care of Dad 24/7 for the ten years until his passing twenty-three years ago. Parkinson is a cruel disease because it takes the body, but not the mind. When we love someone with all that we are, we grieve with all that we are. I wish I could have came to this mornings service. I had my monthly appointment with my Primary. I watched the service this evening. The Pastor’s were great. Their love for George was most evident. It was beautiful for a Special Man. I will be keeping all the Van Dahm's in my prayers.
One day I drove my Dad’s Land Yacht to church, when George saw it he said he remembered that Town Car and my Dad. Padded landau tops were the rage, not for my Dad, he ordered a blue body and full white vinyl top. Most likely the only one, and why George remembered that car.
