We met Evelyn many years ago when we found we were neighbors in Crestwood and also members of Calvary Church. Over the years, we so enjoyed knowing her, seeing her at church, occasionally driving her to Sunday services. She always took such an interest in other people, in us, in our family. And she modestly shared bits and pieces of her own story with us. I loved seeing her on Sunday mornings, always dressed so beautifully. I was so blessed to sit with her at a lunch at church just last fall, and she was still so much fun to chat with. Evelyn was a dear woman and a wonderful example of a child of God living in His Light. We will miss her. Corinne and Bob Ufferman
I met Evelyn through my mom, Skip Vogel, and so I have known her for decades! What a special friend! Several times she came to visit my family in Wisconsin. She came to see my daughter perform in community plays and even to be here for her baptism! We also spent a fair amount of hours out at the pool, getting some sun and cooling off. Thank you Evelyn, those are precious memories.
have so many fond memories of Evelyn. For many years we would play golf together. I remember when we played on Mon. morning and she had watched one of the golf opens over the week end, she was so inspired that you would think she was one of the "pros". We also had so many good times with the "birthday girls". When Bob and I joined Green Oak, I was so priviledged to be asked to join their group..
even as our numbers started to dwindle, we had lunch together as late as last summer.
the 90th birthday party your family gave was so special. She will be missed.
My heartfelt condolences go out to all of Mom Vissers family. She always made me smile when I saw her. So sweet and loving she was. Anytime she knew I was in the office she’d come say Hi and give me a hug. I’ll always remember that sweet smile. We know that she is in Jehovah’s memory. Love to you all Gina.
