Dear Aunt Jean and family,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Uncle Dwight. I realize this is an especially hard time, but as I think about Uncle Dwight it actually brings a smile to my face. I hope I can do the same for you. Here are some of my favorite memories of Uncle Dwight.....

I remember when you lived in the other house (before Cathy & Danny were born, I think) and Uncle Dwight was so excited to show us his train scene that he had set up. It was huge and it took up an entire room. As a kid I thought it was the coolest thing and the fact that he built it even made it cooler. He showed us every detail; which as a small child seemed like it took forever!
But, I realized that Uncle Dwight really had a passion for trains and I thought that was really neat. Another one of my favorite memories is coming over to the house for family get togethers and all of the adults sitting in a circle in the living room and arguing. I know that seems strange to have this as a positive memory, but I remember that people would get so heated and all of us kids would just laugh at "the crazy adults". I loved that it always ended in a way that was like it was no big deal and everything was fine. Uncle Dwight was a great person and made me laugh when I saw him. I used to love to sit next to him at family gatherings because he used to tell us stories or things that I could never tell if they were true or not. They probably were true, but I always remember not believing him or questioning him. He was very easy to be around and even though I am really sad right now, when I think of Uncle Dwight it makes me smile.

Unfortunately I can't be there with you physically on Saturday, but I am sending you all hugs from Colorado. I will be present on the live stream so I can celebrate Uncle Dwight's life with you. He will be greatly missed and now he can work on his train sets forever! I look forward to the day I can see the one he is making in heaven.

Sending hugs your way!
