Dorothy E. "Dottie" Acklin, nee Pech, age 94, passed away peacefully at her home in Oak Brook, IL on April 19, 2021. Loving mother of Michael (Karen) Acklin, Kathleen (Richard) Lodewegen, Susan (Richard) Acklin-Wilson, Mark (Sharon) Acklin, Thomas (Holly) Acklin and Carol (Richard) Stern. Cherished grandmother of 12. Dearest great-grandmother of nine. Dear sister of George Pech and the late James Pech.
Dottie worked over 20 years in the jewelry business, retiring from J.C. Penney. She loved to travel and felt so blessed to be able to do so.
Visitation Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 1-3 p.m. with a Service to Celebrate Dottie's life to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. To uphold safety guidelines, all guests are asked to wear a mask and respect social distancing requirements.
