Darlene A. "Dolly" Zavodny, nee Egan, age 84, beloved wife of the late Robert Zavodny (2014). Loving mother of Stephen (Mary Pat) Zavodny, Lynn (late Mark Fritkin) Zavodny, and John (Dolly) Zavodny. Cherished grandmother of Katie (Dave) Paski, Kevin (Maggie) Zavodny, Kerry (Mark) Mirandola, Colleen Zavodny, Samuel (Marlee) Fritkin, Jacob Fritkin, Casey Zavodny, Jamie (Kevin) Lynch, and Nikki Zavodny. Dearest great-grandmother of six. Dear sister of Patricia (late Thomas) Dowling, Donald (late Shirley) Egan, Raymond Egan, and the late ValRae (late Roy) Watson and the late Lorraine (late Gene) Fravel. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Retired from Henkel Corporation serving many years as their office manager. Dolly was deeply loved by her children, grandchildren, family, and friends alike. She brought joy and wisdom to many lives and will be deeply missed. She passed away the weekend of her anniversary to join the love of her life, Bob, in heaven. We will miss her Irish whisper, her smart sense of humor, and most importantly, the constant loving presence she has had in all of our lives.
Visitation Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 3-8 p.m. (which will include a prayer service from 7-7:30 p.m.) Funeral Friday, July 1, 2022, 9:30 a.m. from Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) to St. Francis of Assisi Church. Mass 10:30 a.m. Interment private at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park, IL.
