Message to the Family: What a great loss to our entire community. Shirley made a difference in my life with her love for great keyboard music. She took the time to privately coach me and one other student from CCHS in 1973 on her twin pianos at her home in Palos Park. It was thrilling to see what we accomplished in one week's time. This exceptional "Career Week" exercise encouraged me to spend a lifetime creating wonderful music throughout the midwest. I still have vivid memories of learning new selections from her wonderful and extensive music library. May perpetual light shine on her and may God grant her children (my former classmates) an extra measure of His grace and peace.
