Michael S. Scarpaci, age 92, US Navy WWII Veteran. Beloved husband for 63 years to Mary Ellen, nee Stewart. Loving father of Sherry Scarpaci, Mike Scarpaci, and Jim (Lorie) Scarpaci. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Jason) Stoiner and John "JT" (Chrissy) Selvage; Bryan, Joe (Aurora), and Betsy Scarpaci; Lexi, Derrick, Regina, and Joseph Scarpaci. Dearest great-grandfather Addyson, William, Matthew, Angelina, Tristan, Rosie, and Madelyn. Preceded in death by his sisters Marion Keefner and Antoinette Starr, and his brother Joseph Scarpaci. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Retired USDA Processed Food Inspector. Michael studied at the Chicago Art Institute and was an accomplished artist and woodworker. He cherished animals and gave generously to animal welfare organizations .

Visitation Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment with Military Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
