Grandsons

Years ago, when my boys were still little, I was showing Mom some of the poetry I'd written as a teenager. I think that made her start thinking about putting some thoughts to paper herself. Later, she showed me this poem she wrote.

"Grandsons"

When I see their faces,

I hope to be a very old lady.

Not for Long,

Just long enough to see their faces.
