Betty J.  Evans (Fox)
Betty J. Evans, nee Fox, age 74, passed away peacefully into eternal life on July 4, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. Born and raised in Chicago, she was preceded in death by her parents Richard (1981) and Edna Fox (1999) and sister Joyce Clisham (2016). Beloved wife of 46 years to the late Joseph (2011). Loving mother of Susan (Gary) Griswold and the late Raymond Evans (1989). Cherished Grammy of twins Hannah and Gavin who were born on her birthday April 1, 2016. Fond aunt, great aunt, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, co-worker and true friend of many.

Betty was an avid Chicago White Sox fan and also cheered for the Chicago Blackhawks. She was a dog owner and enjoyed reading, shopping, dining out, going to the movies and watching television. She worked for 25 years at Christ Hospital and more recently at a doctor’s office until March 2017. In addition to being a southpaw, Betty was an avid bowler and softball player.

Betty was a long-time member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and served as a reader, communion assistant, usher, Sunday School teacher and many years on the Altar Guild.

A service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 11007 S. 76th Ave, Worth, IL 60482 on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Please omit flowers.
