James T. Kamphuis, age 79, beloved husband for 59 years to Jennie L. Kamphuis, nee Glas. Loving father of James P. Kamphuis and Jeannine (Kertis) Huck. Cherished grandfather of Joseph and Diana. Dearest brother of Thomas (Theresa) Kamphuis and Carolyn (Robert) Buntin. Dear brother-in-law of Eleanor (Ron) Lindgren and Raymond (Esther) Glas. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Faithful friend of canine companion, Abby.

James was an avid gardener and he enjoyed woodworking and cars.

Visitation Tuesday, May 9, 2017, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 Noon at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment private.
