Obituary for Randall Lee "Randy" Visser

Randall Lee "Randy"  Visser
Randall Lee "Randy" Visser, age 67, US Air Force Vietnam War Veteran, beloved husband for over 46 years to Susan, nee Chance. Loving father of Jennifer (Brian) Visser and Michael (Shannon) Visser. Cherished grandfather of Colin, Nathan and Gavin. Devoted son of Evelyn (nee Doornbos) and the late Glenn Visser. Dear brother of Ronald (Glenda) Visser, Cynthia (Stan) Chingo, Patricia (Trent) Kennedy and Steven (Deb) Visser. Dear brother-in-law of Lee Ann (Michael) Johnson. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Randy was a 1967 graduate of Harold L. Richards High School. He joined the US Air Force in December of 1967 and served his country during the Vietnam War. In January of 1971 he began a 35 year career with Unisys Corporation retiring as a Project Manager. In 2008 he began working part-time for Enterprise. Randy was an active member of Living Springs Community Church in Glenwood, IL serving as Deacon, Elder, member of the Worship Team/Choir and member of various committees and ministries. Proud member of the Tinley Park VFW Post 2791.

Visitation Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Living Springs Community Church, 19051 S. Halsted, Glenwood, IL 60425 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. A time of refreshments and fellowship will follow the Funeral Service. Interment with Military Honors will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Lynch Syndrome International, P.O. Box 19, Madison, CT 06443 or donations in memory of Randy and in honor of his grandson Nathan to Lincolnway Special Recreation Association, 1900 Heather Glen Dr., New Lenox, IL 60451 are appreciated.
