Gerald S. "Mr. Wasil" Wasilewski, age 82, formerly of Brighton Park, passed away January 1, 2017 at his home in Matteson surrounded by his family. Beloved husband for 60 years to Della K., nee Helms. Loving father of Alan Sr., David (Wendy), and Michael (Tracey). Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Danny (fiancée Scarlet), A.J, Nikki (fiancé Dan), Erika (Ian) Ver, Stephen and Sarah (fiancé Ryan). Dearest brother of the late Raymond (Mary) and the late Lawrence (Ann).

Mr. Wasil was a dedicated and revered woodshop teacher for 40 years at Kelly High School in Brighton Park from 1954 to his retirement in 1995. Former President of the Northwest Fly Tying Association and member of Chicago Fly Fishers.

Visitation Saturday, January 7, 2017, from 12:00 Noon - 7:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment private. Express your thoughts and condolences at colonialchapel.com 708-532-5400
