Condolence: I'm sorry I didn't know. I'm sorry I wasn't there. I'm sorry you were alone.
I didn't know you were leaving us soon, or get a chance to say goodbye. I didn't get to see you buried or attend the memorial service. I didn't get to have that closure.
I wish I could call. I wish I could her your voice say "hiya sweetie!" one more time. I wish I would have known.
Our phone chats brightened my days. Our visits were priceless. Our memories will last a lifetime.
Your wisdom will always be cherished. Your sense of humor will make me giggle forever. Your memory will live on.
Know that I love you very much. Know that I miss you dearly. Know that you were and still are one of the most important people in my life.
I'm sure you're not lonely anymore, and are very happy and at peace. I'm sure you have reunited with grandma, dad, and the rest of your family and friends. I'm sure you will continue to be with me always.
So many times I think of you. So many times I replay memories with you and smile. So many times I thank God to have been blessed with such a wonderful grandpa.
This will have to be it. This will have to be enough, my peace. This is how I lay you to rest.
