Condolence: Joyce was always ready for a hug, a hand squeeze, and certainly a smile. Always interested in what was going on in my life and that of my family we enjoyed our little conversations swapping update stories. Quick to give God the glory in happy and sad times she was a light to so many of us in Pentwater. It warms my heart to think that she might now be chatting with Will or Karen or hugging Traci. Condolence: We will miss Joyce's smile and kinda words she always gave on Sunday. Also,she touched my heart so much when at the age of 78 she was willing to help our MOPS group with the children. It showed her love and devotion to see God's work done and love for all of us moms.We will miss her very much.

Condolence: Ron and I will miss Joyce so much. Worshiping and serving with her for a lifetime (Ron) and almost 38 years (Tonia) left such a strong imprint on our lives. Her graciousness, positive spirit, accepting smile and serving heart were some of the characteristics that ministered to us over those years. Serving together in the nursery was a great joy. She loved everyone's children and was so loving to them all. We also enjoyed times with her in Pentwater...such a great hostess! Our prayers will be with you family...you all have a special place in our hearts.

Condolence: Joyce was one of the handful of Salem woman who served as a surrogate mother for myself and so many others. Her kind yet straightforward nature always left me feeling cared for. And her strong, seemingly unwavering, faith was of consistent encouragement.

Joyce you will be missed by so many that you cared for and loved.

Condolence: We join you our Erickson cousins in this time of remembering your godly mother with tears and laughter as so many scenarios surface. Our personal encounters with her were few, yet we have loved and admired her courage and wisdom in raising a beautiful family with cousin Will. In my formative years, he was the maximum of a find, insightful gentleman, godly and caring. God gave his two exceptional wives to mother you all. Now, it's hard to imagine Pineric without her. Such a lovely hostess, brave and strong, pleasant, always welcoming. Your parents' mission in having the B&B has spread their reach around the globe. She will be thrilled to join Will, meeting the many who benefited from their work over the years. May the Lord be your comfort as you return home and normal way of life. Condolence: Joyce was one of our Pentwater church and "sunset" friends. Joyce was part of a group who regularly gather at the "turnaround" at Mears State Park every summer evening to visit and enjoy the spectacular sunsets. We loved seeing Joyce's beautiful smile and chatting with her. Her very kind and gentle spirit was always evident. She spoke often about the majesty of our Lord in the beauty of a sunset. She was a treasure, and she will be deeply missed.

Condolence: Joyce and her family were wonderful friends and Christian co-workers over these past 80 years with our Don & Milly Nordstrom extended family!!!
