Evelyn F. Huisman, nee Baker, age 88, passed away at home surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of 68 years to the late Raymond. Loving mother of Raymond Paul (Gigi), Margaret (late Christopher) Knade, Kathy (Philip) Gruzalski, Sandra (Charles) Metcalfe, Becky (Shawn) Kammer, Lori (late Robert) Elgas and the late Beverly Huisman. Cherished grandmother of 13. Dearest great-grandmother of nine. Fond sister of Alice Reichel, Norman, Earl, Berdine McManus, Betty Watling, Donna Sharpe, Jack, Larry, and the late Harold, William and Raymond. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was full of life, sweet, generous and had the most positive outlook on life. She was up for any adventure. She loved games, travel, festivals, sporting events and was always enthusiastically ready to go at a moment's notice. Visitation Tuesday from 4-8pm. Funeral Service Wednesday 11:00am at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens South.
