Wes was a very good friend and I am grateful to have known him. My level of trust for this man was immense and I was able to share some very closely guarded inner things with him in complete confidence. Being a fellow firefighter/paramedic he shared with me much of the inordinate abundance of his witnessed tragedies. Wes, unfortunately had a pretty heavy burden to carry around with him, yet he was consistently able to make others smile (or laugh hysterically). It was a blessing to be able to call him my friend.
